Founded by Dr. Ruben Malán in 1993, the studio is probably the most prestigious music and piano center in town, consistently providing a well-rounded music education and high quality piano lessons to countless students from all ages and levels for almost twenty years in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dr. Malán is a well-known local musician and teacher due to his personality traits, his skills and abilities, as well as his performing experience as a soloist and accompanist and his vast teaching experience, both, in a diverse cultural and international settings. Musicianship, full dedication, updated pedagogical approach, artistry, creativity, discipline, professionalism, a positive and optimistic attitude, and plenty of good humor, all in all are definitely contributing to forge his excellent reputation reflected and evidenced by many of his piano students’ successful careers.

Why music and piano?

The joy to learn and play the piano, and soon being able to create music by ourselves, is much greater and more valuable satisfaction than just becoming simple consumers of low quality music and unfortunately often mediocre songs.  Performing either a simple melody, a jazz tune, or a Chopin waltz, or even accompanying (yourself or a friend) or playing hymns at church, provides great joy and a sense personal fulfillment. Playing the piano at any level surely fosters creativity and self-expression. It definitely helps to relax, fight stress, and socialize.  Taking piano lessons is one o the best ways to motivate children, to encourage self-expression, to create discipline and perseverance, a better focused concentration, as well as self-awareness, self-control, self-assurance leadership and many other important skills.
